ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide at Broadway Academy at Willow in Cleveland, Ohio. The school emphasizes academic excellence and a positive climate for EK-8 students.

The aide supports teachers, helps with classroom activities, and promotes student safety and engagement in academics and extracurriculars. Qualified candidates have an associate degree or equivalent and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework or the Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards and deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups and follows instructional plans.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports teacher in student/parent relations.
• Assists with school activities such as meetings, assemblies, and events.
• Performs clerical duties, including grading papers and making copies.
• Assists the teacher in the use of classroom technology.
• Maintains cleanliness of the classroom, lunchroom and other school areas.
• Upholds the school philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Other duties as assigned, including field trips and duty postings.
