Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide at Northeast Ohio College Preparatory School - Upper Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. The role supports teachers, helps maintain a positive classroom climate, and contributes to school activities and events.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent, proficiency in MS Office, and strong communication skills. The position is on-site with responsibilities including safety oversight and clerical duties to support student success.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the Paraprofessional’s Exam required.
• Ability to meet educational standards and manage confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25–40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher with classroom activities and promote positive student behaviors.
• Provide oversight to ensure student safety and positive school climate.
• Support the Teacher in student and parent relations and in use of classroom technology.
• Assist with school activities and events (parent nights, assemblies, fundraisers, field trips).
• Perform clerical duties and help with grading papers and copies.
• Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, lunchroom, and school areas.
• Support the school philosophy and mission in all activities.
