Job summary

Broadway Academy @ Willow in Cleveland, OH seeks an Instructional Aide to assist teachers, promote positive student behavior, and support academics and activities. You will help implement plans, supervise students, and assist with technology while helping maintain a safe learning environment.

Qualifications include an associate degree or two years of college coursework, or the paraprofessional exam, plus MS Office proficiency. Must pass BCI/FBI check and be able to lift 25–40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework, or the Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards and deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups and follows instructional plans.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports teacher in student and parent relations.
• Assists with school activities (parent nights, meetings, assemblies, fundraisers, chaperoning).
• Performs clerical duties (grading papers, making copies).
• Assists teachers with the use of classroom technology.
• Maintains cleanliness of classroom and common areas.
• Adheres to the school’s philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Performs other duties including field trips, duties, and lunch supervision.
