Bethany Christian Trust is seeking a dedicated housing support worker to join its Supported Housing team in Dumfries. You will work as part of a team delivering flexible and creative support to vulnerable people to meet their housing needs.
The role requires strong communication, team spirit, and willingness to pursue SVQ 3 in Social Care; membership of PVG and SSSC registration are also required; a Christian faith alignment is an occupational requirement.
Bethany Christian Trusts Supported Housing service offers accommodation and support to individuals who have registered as homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless within Dumfries. Bethany Christian Trust is looking for a support worker to be part of this team. The successful post holder will work as part of a team delivering flexible and creative support to vulnerable people to meet their housing needs.
You will have a proven record as a team player with excellent communication skills; you will have experience and knowledge of the service user group and their surrounding issues. We would welcome applicants with lived experience of these issues. Competence in the use of Microsoft office tools is essential. An SVQ 3 in Social Care, Promoting Independence or equivalent as listed by SSSC as appropriate for a ‘Housing Practitioner’ is desirable; the willingness to work towards this is essential.

Salary: £28,310 – £30,122
