Job summary

LDN London is seeking a dedicated support worker to help people with learning disabilities live safely and with dignity in their homes or supported accommodation across London.

The role entails working on a rota including weekends, with options for day or night contracts and involvement in a range of services across Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Camden, Islington, Southwark and Hammersmith & Fulham.

Qualifications

• DBS check required and must provide references covering last three years.
• Ability to work in a rota including weekends, early and late shifts.

Responsibilities

• Enable people with learning disabilities to live safe, fulfilling, and dignified lives in supported accommodation or their own home.
• Work across multiple services in London locations including Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Camden, Islington, Southwark and Hammersmith & Fulham.
• Support people with a range of needs from low to high, including dementia/aging and autism/mental health, with outreach as needed.
• Participate in rota including weekends; some services have waking night shifts.

Salary

£14.80 per hour/ £28,860 per annum (Overtime rate £16.59 per hour)

Position

Days Full - time - (37.5 hours on a rota basis - Mon-Sun) or Nights Full - time (40 hours - 4 nights per week)

As a support worker you enable people with learning disabilities to live safe, fulfilling, and dignified lives in supported accommodation or their own home. We have positions available across a variety of services in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Camden, Islington, Southwark and Hammersmith & Fulham.

In each of our services we support approximately 5-10 people. We support people with a range of support needs from low to high; with old age/ dementia, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism/mental health. We also operate outreach services for people who live more independently. We work on a rota which includes working some weekends, early and late shifts. If you prefer to work nights, we also have some services with waking night shifts.

We currently only have vacancies in services where manual handling is an intrinsic and regular part of the job.

Sessional work

If you don't want to commit to a contract with you can opt for sessional work where you can decide when and where you work, you will also have the option of accepting or declining any work offered by LDN London.
