Job summary

Active Care Group is hiring aSupport Worker to assist a gentleman with severe brain injury and vision loss. The role involves helping with daily living, community activities, appointments and outings, and driving the Motability vehicle. You will work within a small team, following a 2‑week rota with day shifts and sleep-ins.

The ideal candidate is kind, reliable and enthusiastic, with good communication skills and a flexible approach. Full training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
• No driving convictions (insurance requirements apply).
• Confident driving and accompanying client on journeys.
• Ability to travel independently between locations.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

You'll play a key role in helping him maintain his independence, participate in activities he enjoys, and live life to the fullest.What you'll be working:This full-time position averages 35 hours per week and follows a two-week rota pattern, including a mixture of day shifts and sleep-in nights. The team generally works 24-hour shifts, with day shifts running from 6:00am to 10:00pm and sleep-in support provided overnight.What you'll be doing:You'll provide person-centred support with daily living activities both at home and in the community. This includes accompanying the client to appointments, social activities and outings, supporting his independence, and helping him manage his daily routine.
