About The Role
Husson University seeks a Learning & Technology Support Specialist for our Online and Distance Education team. The role involves supporting the use of Canvas and educational technologies, assisting faculty, staff, and students in designing and managing online courses, and enhancing pedagogical quality.

Responsibilities

• Stay updated with the latest online education technology tools and trends.
• Collaborate with Instructional Technology staff to support faculty and develop new services.
• Assist in evaluating and selecting new educational technologies.
• Create and update training materials for users.
• Support and maintain the Canvas LMS.
• Guide faculty and staff in using educational technologies effectively.
• Apply learning theories to course design.
• Design and develop high-quality online courses in Canvas.
• Assess course effectiveness and implement best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred, in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or Education.
• 1-3 years of experience in instructional technology or design.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development basics.
• Experience managing complex projects and meeting deadlines.
• Strong research and content analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with instructional design strategies and tools.
• Understanding of Universal Design and accessibility principles.
• Experience with LMS platforms, especially Canvas.
