Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Part-time Support Services Technician to support Environmental Services, Nutrition Services, Reception, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain. You will work across locations to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment and assist staff and visitors.

The role emphasizes communication, teamwork, and dedication to patient experience, with a day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and weekend rotation every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Customer service and/or related experience.
• Preferred CRT-BLS certifications: BLS - AHA or ARC; 90 days preferred.
• CRT-Accredited Food Handler/CFP; 90 days preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with hospital staff, visitors, and patients to ensure top service.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment for patients and staff.
• Greets and assists visitors, staff, and patients in navigating the hospital.
• Completes special projects as assigned under direction.
• Supports multiple departments including Environmental Services, Nutrition, Reception, Patient Transport and Supply Chain as needed.

Job Summary

Essential Functions

Refer to the job description of the role being performed, including using the associated technology. Communicates effectively with all hospital staff, visitors, patients/residents to ensure the highest level of customer service and care for our patients/residents. This position is part of the patient care team and will create a positive impact on the patient's experience by providing a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment. Greets, communicates with and assists visitors, staff and/or patients in navigating through the hospital to reach their destination. Completes special projects as assigned, with specific direction.
