Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time deli team member at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The role focuses on preparing and serving made-to-order sandwiches, maintaining sanitation, and ensuring food safety in a fast-paced service area.

You will monitor temperature logs, manage inventory, and support multiple stations while delivering compassionate, customer-focused service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality made-to-order deli sandwiches and wraps for visitors, patients, and team members
• Portion, package, label, and date products in compliance with food safety and organizational standards
• Maintain strict sanitation and food safety standards by utilizing proper PPE, cleaning surfaces, rotating utensils, and managing sanitizer solutions
• Monitor and document temperature logs, taking corrective action when necessary to ensure food safety compliance
• Stock, replenish, and manage inventory levels in the deli area
• Demonstrate flexibility by multitasking and cross-training across multiple service stations (Cashiering, merchandising)
• Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, patients, and customers to support a positive dining experience
• Exhibit a positive, outgoing, and customer-focused attitude, delivering service with compassion and empathy
• Uphold high standards for food presentation to enhance the overall customer experience
