About Wynwood

Known for its colorful murals, art deco style, hip vibe, and Miami’s best nightlife scene, Wynwood is the city’s most vibrant district and is home to Arlo Hotels’ latest property.

Hopeful street artists come from near and far to tag their names on the walls of Wynwood, standing alongside some of the world’s best-known street artists. The surrounding streets feature warehouses converted into art galleries, restaurants, late-night bars, artisan shops, and boutique clothing stores. Just 20 minutes from South Beach, Wynwood offers the perfect Miami urban escape.

About the Hotel

Launching its fifth hotel, Arlo continues to break ground with its first hotel in Wynwood. The 217-room property, located at 2217 NW Miami Court, opened in November 2022. It features 9 floors, including a Penthouse suite, a rooftop pool with outdoor bar, lounge chairs, and four cabanas offering 360-degree views. The ground floor includes a lobby lounge, retail shelves, grab-and-go bodega, and a full-service lobby bar and restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating. An entertainment area, outdoor courtyard with a bar and beer garden, gallery space, game room, interior lounge, fitness room, yoga deck, and hospitality suite are also part of the property.

To reflect Wynwood’s art vibes, the hotel features interior artwork in collaboration with Indie Walls, and an exterior façade with graffiti and artwork by local Miami artists.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for the overnight operation of the front desk and liaising with other departments impacting guest service. The supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates activities to ensure exceptional service, supports operations, trains, motivates, and recognizes team members, exercising independent judgment and initiative.

Responsibilities
  • Always treat guests with courtesy and respect in all situations.
  • Display honesty and integrity.
  • Oversee the Front Office Department, including Lobby Hosts.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate effectively with staff.
  • Motivate and develop team members.
  • Maximize room sales, revenue, and profit.
  • Deliver outstanding service and create memorable experiences.
  • Lead and supervise front office activities within hotel guidelines.
  • Embrace and live Arlo Hotels’ values and culture.
  • Assign, coordinate, and supervise work activities of Lobby Hosts.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff; monitor labor costs.
  • Ensure completion of shift duties, including paperwork.
  • Conduct performance reviews.
  • Respond to emergency situations promptly, complete incident reports, and follow up.
  • Manage same-day room inventory and rate yielding.
  • Take responsibility for correcting service issues and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Front Office.
Education & Experience
  • Hospitality diploma or degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years in a management position.
  • Experience in hospitality, customer service, and Opera PMS.
