Job summary

Taghleef Industries is seeking a Support Operator to assist in packaging finished BOPP film for the food industry. This entry-level role emphasizes safety, quality, and a strong work ethic within a busy manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will operate basic material handling equipment, perform inspections, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining clean, safe work practices on a 3-day/12-hour shift with possible overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must successfully complete required skills assessment/testing.
• Able to work in a moderately heavy manufacturing environment.
• Capable of 3-day/12-hour shifts with overtime as needed.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Basic math and daily data entry skills.
• Operates a forklift and/or pallet jack safely.

Responsibilities

Support Operator

The Support Operator is an entry level position with lots of immediate growth potential. The successful Support Operator will demonstrate strong communication skills and a real commitment to their quality of work, ensuring a superior customer experience, with a key focus on safety, quality, and cleanliness. The focus of this position is the packaging of completed film for the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Package and movement of completed film products.
• Weigh and label film by following operation instructions.
• Perform audits to ensure packaging integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Effective communicates with others.
• Works to resolve quality issues, equipment problems, or people issues until an adequate solution is attained.
• Perform assignedGood Manufacturing Practice Regulations (GMP) activities in the individual’s work area as defined.
• Clean up messes or other housekeeping issues as soon as reasonable; this will include an overall ‘clean as you go’ mentality.
• Report any known or discovered contamination or other food safety risk to product to their direct supervisor immediately.
• Operates a variety material handling vehicles and equipment.
• Completes all required safety activities as outlined in plant safety rules.
• Demonstrates a strong desire to succeed and develop within the company.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on a 3-day/12-hour shift and overtime as required/scheduled
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
• Must be able to withstand continuous periods of moving, walking, bending, stooping, keeling, twisting motion, climbing and descending stairs and ladders in an effort to perform most tasks
• Must be mentally sharp and quick to respond
• Must be able to perform basic math functions
• Must understand basic computer skills and perform “daily” data entry tasks/requirements
• Must be able to operate a fork truck and/or pallet jack
