Support Care Professional – Crisis Team

St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers – St. Charles Habilitation Center

Salary:$2,209.36 semi-monthly

(The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. Years of service adjustments, shift differentials, and other targeted salary payments are applied to the total compensation of your paycheck and are subject to eligibility requirements of the appropriate differential.)

St. Charles Habilitation Center (STCHC) is currently recruiting to fill a Support Care Professional position with our Crisis Team. This benefit eligible position will be located at STCHC, 22 Marr Lane, St. Charles, MO 63303.Working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, with Sunday/Saturday/Holidays off; and potentially require one early day and one late day each week.

What you’ll do:

This is a professional-level position accountable for implementing, training, and monitoring habilitation programs and positive behavior supports, responding to crisis situations, and implementing interventions until behavior is safe.This position will also provide supervision, observation, coaching and guidance to the Behavior Technicians to support consistent implementation of behavioral interventions, treatment strategies, oversite of required training and overall job performance.

You will be required to learn and maintain trainings on Safety Care, and the Advanced Skills through Safety Care, Behavior Support Strategies, Mental Health First Aid, Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scall, review and know all SOP Crisis Procedures, and demonstrate the Essential Skills – BST Skills.You will serve as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team in developing and reviewing individualized support strategies and habilitation plans.

Eligibility Requirement:

Per CMS Guidelines §483.430 to meet Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP), you will need one year of experience providing services to a person with intellectual disabilities and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Speech‑Language Pathology, Recreation, or Human Services (sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology).

Current DMH employees applying for this position must be free of discipline for six months. To promote to this position, you should be free of discipline for twelve months.

This position will be filled with the most qualified candidate after consideration of each applicant’s interview, work experience, work performance, training, and other background information.
