St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center in St. Louis, MO is seeking a positive Support Care Assistant to work on inpatient units. This first-level direct patient care role involves assisting with basic nursing tasks and supporting residents in a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include interpersonal engagement with residents and staff, basic nursing care, and contributing to a calm, healing setting. Prior experience and a high school diploma are favored.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 45 lbs from floor to shoulder height.
• Run, walk or jog a distance of 400 yards.
• Pull 45 lbs at least 20 feet.
• Kneel on floor to perform CPR.
• Implement crisis intervention techniques and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrate leadership and teamwork abilities.
• One or more years of work experience or self-employment.
• possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
