Job summary

Penn State Health is seeking a Support Associate in Radiology to assist technologists and deliver patient care in the MRI suite. You will help patients onto and off the MRI table, collect history, complete screening, and support venous access and room readiness to ensure smooth imaging procedures.

This full-time role is based at Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill, PA with a 0.90 FTE across a weekend shift.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience, customer service, venipuncture, clerical experience, Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Technologist with day-to-day MRI operations and patient care.
• Assist patients to and from and on/off the MRI table and perform history/screening as applicable.
• Initiate and maintain peripheral venous access; coordinate with other departments; set up/tear down rooms; stock supplies.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The primary responsibility of a Tech Aide is to assist the Technologist with day-to-day functions while providing patient care. This includes but is not limited to: assisting patients to and from and on and off the MRI table, obtaining history/completing screening sheet as applicable, initiation and maintenance of peripheral venous access, communication with other departments for patient purposes, room set up and tear down, removal of waste, and stocking of supplies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)

• High school graduate or equivalent education required.

• Prior Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant Experience, Customer Service, Venipuncture, Clerical Experience, Microsoft Suite
