Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supply plans (MTS and MTO) to meet forecasted demand while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence.
• Manage variables such as lead-times, WIP, transfers, lot sizes, SKUs, and regulatory constraints.
• Ensure raw materials and components are available to support production.
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve plans and align with financial and delivery objectives.
• Develop capacity plans for manufacturing areas and decide on downtime and project initiatives.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement resolution actions.
• Direct Production Planners to ensure timely execution of demand and coordinate supply chain activities.
• Maintain a 3-month batch allocation forecast and monitor changes.

Overview

The Supply Planning Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the availability of raw materials and finished goods to support manufacturing and distribution operations, be responsible for balancing supply and demand, optimizing inventory levels, and collaborating cross-functionally to support business continuity and growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supply plans (MTS and MTO) with the right product mix, sizes, and concentrations to meet forecasted demand while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence.
• Manage within complex variables including lead-times, manufacturing constraints, WIP inventory, intercompany transfers, regulatory and quality parameters, lot sizes, and SKUs.
• Ensure raw materials and components are available to support production.
• Communicate and lead others to achieve established plans supporting financial and delivery objectives.
• Develop and execute capacity plans for manufacturing areas, including decision-making on downtime, project implementation, and constraints to ensure throughput meets delivery and financial goals.
• Analyze demand requirements and identify production bottlenecks; recommend and implement resolution actions.
• Direct Production Planners to ensure timely execution of forecasted demand and coordinate supply chain activities.
• Maintain a detailed 3-month batch allocation forecast to support demand and monitor changes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to balance constraints and production plans.
• Prepare long-term supply plans for senior management in manufacturing and global supply planning.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Commercial, Quality, and Regulatory teams on product launches, changes, and demand updates.
• Identify supply constraints and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead and participate in projects related to new product launches and process changes.
• Provide SAP planning and inventory management expertise.
• Generate and present supply KPIs and reports to leadership.
• Develop and deliver supply planning training.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain processes.
• Provide detailed scenario planning for product supply options.
• Lead cross-functional teams as needed, operating within a highly regulated (cGMP) environment, ensuring compliance with market quality and regulatory standards.
• Engage with employees at all levels to achieve key supply chain objectives, leveraging strong negotiation and collaboration skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Science, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• At least six (6) years of experience in Production/Supply Planning or similar environment.
• Excellent communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP and Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Knowledge of manufacturing constraints, regulatory requirements, and cGMPs.
• Strong decision-making skills impacting overall operations and product availability.
• Preferred: Professional certification such as APICS or similar.
