Job summary

Havasu Regional Medical Center is seeking a Supply Chain Technician (PRN) to support patient care by stocking and tracking hospital supplies, receiving shipments, and entering data into the inventory system. You will assist in maintaining par levels, handling calls, and performing clerical tasks to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to learn multiple computer systems, and clear English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple computer systems.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Stocks and maintains supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices.
• Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
• Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory and adjusts records as needed.
• Stocks units with office and medical supplies; prepares requisitions to maintain par levels.
• Receives shipments, logs receipts, enters data into the inventory system, and delivers items.
• Answers the telephone, receiving dock, and walk-up window professionally.
• Completes clerical/computer tasks that support patient care delivery.
• Processes outgoing mail.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

A Supply Chain Technician who excels in this role:

• Stocks and maintains supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations.


• Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.


• Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed.


• Stocks units with office and medical supplies; prepares requisitions to maintain par levels.


• Receives shipments, logs receipts, enters data into the inventory system, delivers items to departments or other facilities, and reports/documents errors or damages to management.


• Answers the telephone, receiving dock, and walk-up window professionally; routes calls/messages appropriately.


• Completes clerical/computer tasks that support patient care delivery.


• Processes outgoing mail.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma preferred.

Skills & Experience:

• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.


• Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple computer systems.


• Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand).


• Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.

Schedule: PRN (as needed)
This position does not have a set weekly schedule. You'll be called in to work when extra help is needed-such as covering for someone, handling busy periods, or filling gaps in the schedule. Hours can vary from week to week, and there's no guaranteed hours.
