Job summary

Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana is seeking a diligent Receiving Support Coordinator to join the Supply Chain team in Indianapolis. This full-time role provides operational and customer service support, handling orders, inventory management, and coordination of food distributions across a 21-county service area.

The position emphasizes accuracy and collaboration with multiple departments to reduce waste and ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

General warehouse knowledge and ability to use warehouse systems.
Experience in logistics, warehousing, or data management is desirable.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

Process incoming orders and create new orders accurately each day.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate perishable product utilization and expiry mitigation.
Coordinate donation and food recovery efforts to maximize usage and timely distribution.
Provide customer service support to Network Relations on agency distributions and special requests.
Assist with product receipting, tracking, scheduling and reporting of food acquisitions.
Attend staff meetings and provide backup support as needed.
Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines and relevant regulations.
