Build your future with New Way Trucks! We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist I to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in data analytics, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), project management, sourcing, and negotiation to optimize procurement processes and ensure the seamless flow of goods and services. This role focuses on supporting operations, balancing multiple priorities, and proactively addressing challenges to maintain part availability across cross-functional teams.

Your Role in Our Mission:
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and improve part delivery and inventories.
  • Utilize MRP, non-MRP, and/or KANBAN systems to plan and manage inventory levels, ensuring timely availability of materials.
  • Lead procurement projects, including supplier onboarding and process improvements.
  • Source low to medium value and complexity parts, and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Negotiate pricing agreements to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong supplier relationships, especially with suppliers representing 20% of our annual spend.
  • Monitor supply chain risks and address potential disruptions proactively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as production and logistics to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Demonstrate basic to intermediate data analytics skills using tools like PowerBI and Excel.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field, or 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management or procurement roles.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and MRP software.
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain concepts, best practices, and Lean methodologies.
  • Experience with global sourcing, supplier management, and EPICOR ERP systems.
