EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 12+ month contract

JOB SITE: Remote

COMPENSATION: $63-$80/hr

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We’re looking for an experienced Cost Estimator to support our next generation energy client. You will play a key role in project cost control, performance analysis, EVMS reporting, forecasting, and change management. This role interfaces closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams, and reports directly to the Cost Manager.

• Apply Earned Value Management (EVMS) principles to track cost, schedule, and performance metrics (SPI, CPI, EAC, VAC, etc.)
• Support month-end reporting and project cost analysis
• Assist in maintaining the project’s resource-loaded schedule using Microsoft Project
• Develop accurate cost estimates and forecasting using internal and vendor data
• Drive cost risk analysis and support budget change control processes
• Lead and support process improvement initiatives across the project

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 10–20 years’ experience in large-scale energy, infrastructure, or DOE-related projects
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong background in cost control, forecasting, EVMS, and project risk management
• Effective communicator who thrives in cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) and ability to learn new software quickly
