Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements to determine actions: sourcing, purchasing, expediting, de-expediting and cancellation.
  • Research, negotiate and procure best practice procurements.
  • Prepare RFQs, purchase orders and change notices.
  • Ensure purchases comply with customer flow downs.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • Review data to ensure adequate supportability.
  • Negotiate pricing for value and strategic wins.
  • Resolve issues through effective communication.
  • Monitor inventory levels and supportability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview of the Position

The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the supportability of customer requirements, and inventory turns through supply chain management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review requirements to determine and perform the necessary course of action, including: sourcing, purchasing, expediting, de-expediting, and cancellation.
  • Research, recommend, and negotiate best practice procurements.
  • Prepare requests for quotes, purchase orders, and purchase order change notices.
  • Ensure purchases are compliant with customer flow downs.
  • Work closely with vendors to develop and maintain strategic relationships.
  • Review necessary data and ensure adequate supportability is maintained.
  • Negotiate pricing for best value and strategic wins.
  • Resolve issues internally and externally through effective communication.
  • Monitor inventory levels and supportability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong database, spreadsheet, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations is preferred.
  • Self-starter.
  • Strong communication skills.
Education / Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree and/or one year of experience. Aerospace Industry experience a plus.
