Unknown company is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support day-to-day supply chain and logistics operations across North America. You will manage customer and vendor orders, coordinate domestic and international shipments, and maintain ERP accuracy while supporting invoicing and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments with carriers and logistics providers.
  • Maintain SAP master data and transactional information.
  • Support inventory planning and stock-related data accuracy.
  • Assist with invoicing and collaboration with Accounting.

Position

The Supply Chain Specialist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day supply chain and logistics operations across North America. This position is responsible for managing customer and vendor orders, coordinating domestic and international shipments, maintaining ERP system accuracy, supporting invoicing activities, and monitoring inventory levels to ensure efficient and reliable order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and proactive professional with experience in logistics, supply chain operations, and cross-functional coordination. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Sales, Accounting, Operations, external logistics partners, and international headquarters teams.

Key Responsibilities
Order Management
  • Manage customer orders from entry through delivery and invoicing using SAP.
  • Create, issue, and track purchase orders to vendors and suppliers.
  • Monitor order status and proactively address issues affecting fulfillment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer and supplier transactions.
Logistics & Transportation Coordination
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
  • Monitor inbound deliveries and ensure adherence to planned delivery schedules.
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation delays or service issues.
  • Support freight and logistics activities to maintain high customer service levels.
ERP Systems & Data Management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date SAP master data and transactional information.
  • Support inventory planning through accurate system maintenance, including logistics parameters and stock-related data.
  • Ensure data integrity to support operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory levels and stock availability.
  • Assist in balancing inventory requirements with customer service objectives.
  • Support replenishment activities and identify opportunities to optimize inventory performance.
Finance & Invoicing Support
  • Support customer invoicing activities in alignment with shipment execution.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate order, shipment, and invoice processing.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable-related documentation and issue resolution.
Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Support the development, maintenance, and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service levels, and supply chain performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales, Accounting, Operations, suppliers, logistics partners, and headquarters teams.
  • Facilitate communication across departments to ensure smooth execution of supply chain activities.
  • Support business objectives through effective coordination and problem-solving.
Qualifications

  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Experience with international logistics, transportation, and freight coordination.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain best practices.
  • Italian language skills are a plus.
