Job summary

ZRG Careers client in Austin, TX seeks an experienced supply chain professional to lead strategic planning, procurement, inventory control and logistics in a fast-paced, emerging technology field. The role is onsite, requiring collaboration with domestic and international teams to meet quality and delivery goals.

You will forecast demand, negotiate with suppliers, optimize inventory levels, manage transportation, and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP software and tools. MS Dynamics 365.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Forecasting: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization’s objectives. Set goals and objectives, develop strategies to achieve them, and forecast future demand to ensure supply availability.
  • Procurement and Sourcing: Identify and select suppliers, negotiate contracts and agreements, and ensure suppliers are reliable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
  • Inventory Management and Control: Determine optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand without overstocking. Manage inventory levels, monitor stock levels, and track inventory in real-time.
  • Logistics and Transportation: Manage the transport of goods from raw materials to finished products. Select the best transport options, negotiate contracts with carriers and freight forwarders, and manage shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Planning/Inventory Management: Plan material deliveries around production needs and inventory levels
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable, timely, and quality supplies.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, identify potential risks to the supply chain, and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor performance across the entire supply chain, analyze data, and report on key metrics to drive continuous improvement.

We have international and domestic slip ring and motor manufacturing facilities to supply our global customers with the best products at the best prices. The ideal candidate will be experienced in how global supply chain organizations work efficiently and effectively in managing the flow of goods in and out of the organization. This position is based in Austin, TX, and offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced emerging technology field.

Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be able and willing to work onsite. Candidates will be interacting regularly with team members and business partners both domestic and internationally to ensure we meet quality needs while developing high performance products.
