DSJ Global is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager for a growing advanced manufacturing company in Massachusetts. You will lead purchasing, inventory, and logistics while driving day-to-day procurement activities and optimizing supplier relationships across engineering, planning, production, quality, and finance teams.

You will implement data-driven sourcing strategies, manage critical long-lead items, and develop KPIs to improve inventory health and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 6–8+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
  • Minimum 4 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
  • Experience reading BOMs, engineering drawings, and ECOs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team across purchasing, inventory management, and logistics functions.
  • Execute purchasing activities for critical components, technical materials, and long-lead items to support manufacturing operations.
  • Manage supplier relationships including sourcing, RFQs, negotiations, expediting, supplier development, and performance management.
  • Read and interpret BOMs, engineering drawings, specifications, and ECOs to support procurement decisions.
  • Maintain purchasing data within ERP/MRP systems, including pricing, lead times, supplier information, and order confirmations.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to supplier performance, inventory turns, on-time delivery, and procurement effectiveness.

  • Maintain purchasing data within ERP/MRP systems, including pricing, lead times, supplier information, and order confirmations
  • Resolve material shortages, supplier delivery issues, engineering changes, and supply disruptions to minimize production impacts
  • Partner closely with engineering, planning, and production teams to ensure material availability aligns with manufacturing schedules
  • Collaborate with production planning teams to optimize MRP execution and inventory performance
  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to supplier performance, inventory turns, on-time delivery, and procurement effectiveness
  • Analyze inventory levels and recommend strategies to reduce working capital, improve inventory health, and optimize material flow
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and implement supplier performance improvement initiatives
  • Utilize forecasting, analytics, automation, and other supply chain technologies to improve planning accuracy and risk mitigation
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement initiatives that enhance procurement and operational efficiency
  • Develop supplier scorecards and data-driven sourcing strategies to improve long-term performance and reliability
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing, inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 6-8+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 4 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Experience supporting engineering-driven manufacturing environments
  • Ability to read and interpret BOMs, engineering drawings, specifications, and ECOs
  • Strong ERP/MRP system experience and understanding of purchasing workflows
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Skills & Attributes
  • APICS, CPIM, and/or CSCP certification
  • Experience within electronics, HVAC, automotive, aerospace, battery manufacturing, or related technical industries
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled forecasting, automation tools, analytics platforms, and advanced supply chain technologies
  • Strong inventory management and production planning knowledge
  • Ability to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on procurement professional
  • Process-improvement mindset with experience driving operational efficiencies and supply chain performance improvements
