Job summary

ApTask is seeking a technically ambitious avionics engineer to support the New Glenn program by bridging the gap between internal program engineering and Blue Origin’s supplier partners. You will enable and support hardware applications, resolve technical issues with suppliers, and help optimize manufacturing processes to meet critical schedules.

You will drive New Product Introduction (NPI), sustain production, and provide avionics test support.

Responsibilities

• Own technical risk identification and mitigation strategies at the supplier.
• Engage in failure investigations and RCCA activity as needed.
• Avionics product development on the New Glenn program, including NPI, sustaining production and avionics test support.
• Work with IPT leadership and external manufacturing partners to drive procedures, tooling and fabrication design.
• Test and deliver system elements and the integrated system within schedule and budget.

Job description

Comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

You will enable and support the application of critical hardware in the design New Glenn launch vehicle by bridging the gap between internal program engineering and Blue Origin’s critical supplier partners. Your responsibilities will encompass working closely with suppliers to resolve technical issues, develop sustainable manufacturing processes, and mitigate technical risks to maintain critical schedules and ensure requirement conformance. Your role will include owning technical risk identification and mitigation strategies at the supplier, as well as engaging in failure investigations and RCCA activity as needed.

You will be primarily responsible for avionics product development on the New Glenn Program; including New Product Introduction (NPI), sustaining production and avionics test support. You will work closely with our Integrated Product Team leadership and our external manufacturing partners to drive the development of operational procedures, tooling and fabrication design. You will work with assembly and operations personnel to test and deliver the elements and integrated system within schedule and budget. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight.
