Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Technical Project Manager focused on avionics hardware lifecycle for the New Glenn program. You will partner with Integrated Product Team leadership to manage development, qualification, and production transitions to ensure on-time, within-budget hardware deliveries.

Travel up to 20% is expected; experience with SOWs, SDRLs, EIDPs, and supplier management is preferred. Strong scheduling, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or another relevant engineering field.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with IPT leadership to integrate product concepts and requirements, manage manufacturing design artifacts, and align execution with objectives.
  • Lead avionics product development and NPI activities through planning, execution, and production transition.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end, logic-linked product schedules covering dependencies and critical paths.
  • Define production strategies and priorities that align supplier execution, procurement, and internal assembly with program requirements.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, operations, and Supply Chain to develop and release SOWs, SDRLs, EIDPs, and other artifacts.
  • Plan hardware procurement, long-lead orders, budgets, delivery schedules, and qualification activities with contract manufacturers and test facilities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address risks, incorporating design-for-manufacturability and design-for-test feedback.
  • Support make-versus-buy analyses, should-cost modeling, supplier selection, and relationship management to improve cost and schedule.
  • Manage scope changes, deviations, nonconformances, and change requests to ensure uninterrupted hardware delivery.
  • Lead process improvements and handoffs to Supply Chain and Operations, including production reporting and optimization.
