Job summary

Cencora is seeking an Operations Intern for a 10-week summer program at our Buford, GA Distribution Center. You will work closely with a mentor while gaining exposure to multiple supply chain functions and leadership interactions.

The internship emphasizes hands-on projects, learning, and professional development. Participants must be pursuing an applicable degree and will report outcomes to the Leadership Team at program end.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Operations/Logistics, Organizational Leadership & Supervision, or Business Management.
• Bachelor’s degree expected within one year of internship completion.
• No visa sponsorship needed to work in the US now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Understand various supply chain functions and disciplines.
• Build rapport with hourly team members and leadership.
• Assist in analyzing and developing supply chain metrics and processes.
• Report findings to team members and management.
• Assist in workload planning for departments and teams.
• Support projects and manage time without constant supervision.
• Organize and facilitate team meetings and shift communications.
• Be flexible to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends.
• Participate in internship training activities and events.
• Develop communication and leadership skills to guide frontline teams.
• Learn across business areas to strengthen business acumen.
• Promote an inclusive, safe culture and collaboration.
