Job summary

Cencora is seeking an Operations Intern for a 10-week summer program at our Buford, GA Distribution Center. You will gain hands-on experience across supply chain functions and work closely with mentors to develop leadership skills while contributing to real business initiatives.

Expect to engage in analytics, project work, and team-based activities, with a flexible shift schedule and opportunities for professional development and networking with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Operations/Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related fields.
• Graduation within one year of internship end date.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of various supply chain functions and disciplines.
• Build affiliation with hourly team members and interact with leadership.
• Assist in analysis and development of supply chain metrics and processes.
• Report findings to team members and management.
• Budget time and workloads to support business priorities and goals.
• Lead projects with limited supervision and coordinate with teams.
• Organize and facilitate work team meetings (pre-shift, roundtables).
• Be flexible to work across shifts, including mornings/evenings/weekends.
• Participate in internship training activities and mentorship programs.
• Develop communication and interpersonal skills to lead a frontline team.
• Be willing to learn, take risks, and explore new assignments.
• Gain understanding of all business areas to build business acumen.
