Job summary

Cencora is seeking an Operations Intern for a 10-week summer program at our Buford, GA Distribution Center. You will work under a mentor to explore multiple supply chain functions and gain experience leading teams within a distribution environment.

You will analyze metrics, support business processes, and report findings to leadership. The program emphasizes development, mentorship, and exposure to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Operations/Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Organizational Leadership & Supervision, or Business Management.
• Graduates must complete within one year of internship end date.
• Must not require sponsorship to work in the US now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of various supply chain functions and disciplines.
• Interact with hourly team members, peers and senior leadership.
• Assist in analysis and development of supply chain metrics and processes.
• Report findings to team members and management as required.
• Help plan daily/weekly workloads to support business priorities and lead a team to goals.
• Work on projects with minimum supervision and manage time effectively.
• Organize and facilitate team meetings and rounds.
• Be flexible with shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Participate in internship program trainings and mentorship activities.
• Develop interpersonal and communication skills to lead a frontline workgroup.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn, take risks, and take on new assignments.
• Glean understanding of all business areas to develop business acumen.
• Contribute to an inclusive, diverse, safe, and secure culture.
• Rotate through departments as trained and perform other duties as needed.
