Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Lithia Springs, GA is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn and manage a small driver count across shifts, including nights and weekends.

You will oversee freight planning, routing, and driver compliance with DOT regulations while working with internal and external contacts to ensure timely deliveries and high-quality customer service. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of management/transportation experience
• Willing to travel to account, customer, and company events as applicable
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends if needed
• Willingness to regional relocate depending on account assignment

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain relationships with drivers and carriers to ensure smooth carrier setup and productivity
• Fill in for absent staff and support projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability
• Learn to manage driver training/orientation and internal/customer systems
• Assist with KPI reporting, financial analysis, and customer reporting
• Gain knowledge of inventory/asset management and driver assignment across markets
• Perform payroll, budget management, and incident/pay issue resolution duties
• Learn to oversee yard operations and coordinate maintenance activities
• Collaborate with drivers, customers, and staff to resolve service issues and route planning
• Support safety culture through daily messages, trainings, and policy enforcement
• Plan loads and monitor freight to meet on-time service and customer requirements
