Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Translate forecasts into supply requirements, inventory targets, and replenishment plans.
  • Analyze demand trends, historical sales, inventory levels, supplier lead times, and business requirements to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales to review forecast assumptions and challenge inputs when data indicate issues.
  • Manage inventory planning across 200+ SKUs.
  • Provide recommendations to support purchasing decisions and supplier commitments.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including lead times, availability, delivery reliability, and risks.
  • Support new product launches, product transitions, and lifecycle management.
  • Own and facilitate the monthly S&OP process, ensuring alignment between forecasts and plans.
  • Coordinate inputs from Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and others.
  • Identify supply risks and actions based on changing conditions.
  • Present supply chain insights and action plans to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the S&OP process.

Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical and hands-on Supply Chain Operations Manager to lead supply planning, inventory optimization, logistics coordination, assembly operations, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities across North America.

This is an exciting opportunity for a supply chain professional who enjoys combining analytics, operational execution, and cross-functional leadership to improve business performance in a growing consumer products organization.

The successful candidate will translate Sales forecasts and business requirements into actionable supply plans, ensuring product availability while balancing customer service levels, inventory investment, and operational efficiency.

As part of a global organization, this role will collaborate closely with international teams, including headquarters in Switzerland, as well as sourcing partners and suppliers across Europe and Asia. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across cultures and time zones while supporting the needs of the North American business.

The Supply Chain Operations Manager will report to senior leadership and manage a small team supporting Supply Chain, Logistics, and Assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning & Inventory Management

  • Own the supply planning process by translating Sales forecasts into supply requirements, inventory targets, and replenishment plans.
  • Analyze demand trends, historical sales, inventory levels, supplier lead times, and business requirements to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales to review forecast assumptions and challenge inputs when data indicates potential issues or inconsistencies.
  • Manage inventory planning across a portfolio of 200+ SKUs.
  • Provide recommendations to support purchasing decisions and supplier commitments.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including lead times, availability, delivery reliability, and supply risks.
  • Support new product launches, product transitions, and lifecycle management.
  • Own and facilitate the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between Sales forecasts, supply plans, inventory strategy, and business priorities.
  • Coordinate inputs from Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify supply risks, inventory opportunities, and required actions based on changing business conditions.
  • Present supply chain insights, recommendations, and action plans to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the S&OP process to improve visibility, alignment, and execution.

Supply Chain Analytics & Systems

  • Develop and maintain supply chain reporting, dashboards, and analytics using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy, inventory performance, supplier performance, and key operational metrics.
  • Improve data accuracy and reporting processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Partner with Finance on inventory analysis and operational reporting.
  • Create actionable insights to support business decisions and improve supply chain performance.

Logistics, Assembly & Team Leadership

  • Coordinate inbound logistics activities, supplier shipments, and delivery performance.
  • Partner with the Warehouse Manager to optimize inventory accuracy, availability, and fulfillment performance.
  • Support light assembly operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop 2–3 direct reports across Supply Chain, Logistics, and Assembly.
  • Establish processes, priorities, and performance expectations to support growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with global teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience managing supply chain operations with direct reports.
  • Proven experience working within a consumer products organization.
  • Experience managing supply planning and inventory across 200+ SKUs.
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to a Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large datasets, build models, and create ad hoc reporting tools.
  • Experience with Power BI and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of supply planning, inventory management, logistics, and operational improvement.
  • Ability to analyze data, challenge assumptions, and communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting major US retailers such as Target, Walmart, Amazon, or similar national retail customers.
  • Experience with retail supply chain requirements, including forecasting processes, EDI, OTIF, routing guides, or chargebacks.
  • Experience working with international global sourcing organizations across Europe and Asia.
  • Experience within a global consumer products organization.
  • Experience supporting light assembly or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience improving supply chain processes through analytics, automation, and data-driven decision making.
