Job summary

RTX Goleta-based Material Program Manager will lead the material strategy for the Advanced Technologies Airborne Spectrum Dominance Product Line, partnering with Supply Chain and program teams to ensure delivery and cost performance in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes onsite execution, collaboration across functions, and agile responses to program needs. Travel may be required, and a DoD security clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 8+ years in related roles (5+ years with advanced degree)
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Production Control, or Procurement processes
  • Experience with Office 365
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Material Program Plans and Supplier Management Plans
  • Plan and execute sourcing decisions and support Make/Buy/Where Process
  • Identify Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and communicate required Terms
  • Attachments and/or Modifications
  • Assist with generation of SSOWs
  • Generate RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and evaluate supplier proposals/quotes
  • Generate and process Supplier New Add / Re-Activation requests

Raytheon is looking for an experienced Material Program Manager to join the Advanced Technologies Airborne Spectrum Dominance Product Line Supply Chain team supporting a portfolio of fast-paced development programs. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of developing and achieving program material delivery and financial performance objectives in a matrixed environment and successfully interface with functional and program leadership.

In this highly visible role, you’ll be the liaison between Supply Chain and Program teams. You’ll create and execute the Program Material Strategy to ensure the flawless execution from the front end of the business through contract closure.

This position supports product development efforts and requires the ability to operate in a challenging and constantly changing fast paced environment where robust material strategy and agile execution are key factors to overall program success.

This position is a primarily onsite working location located in Goleta, CA.

What You Will Do:
  • Developing and executing Material Program Plans and Supplier Management Plans
  • Planning and executing sourcing decisions and supporting the Make/Buy/Where Process
  • Identifying Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and communicating required Terms
  • Attachments and/or Modifications
  • Assisting with the generation of Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs)
  • Generating Supplier Request for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs), and obtaining and understanding supplier proposals/quotes
  • Generating and processing Supplier New Add / Re-Activation requests.
  • Driving Purchase Requisition generation & Purchase Order placement/management including MRP system demand loads
  • Participating in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance
  • Identifying Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and communicating required Terms and Conditions, Attachments and/or Modifications
  • Ability to travel
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Production Control, and/or Procurement processes and requirements
  • Experience with Office 365
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related
  • Experience supporting product development efforts
  • Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SSOWs)
  • Experience in a matrixed organizational structure
  • Basic knowledge of Earned Value Management and EVM metrics, processes, and tools and experience being a Control Account Manager (CAM)

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
