Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Senior Material Program Manager to lead the Tomahawk program’s material strategy. You will interface with Supply Chain, Program Office, and Engineering to drive flawless material delivery and cost performance.

The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship, with onsite work and up to 20% travel. Competitive salary range is provided, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 8 years, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years.
  • Experience managing supplier performance relative to financials, metrics or contract compliance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Material Program Plans and Supplier Management Plans.
  • Plan and execute sourcing decisions and support the Make/Buy/Where process.
  • Identify Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and obtain Terms Attachments and/or Modifications.
  • Assist with the generation of Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs).
  • Oversee SCM activities to meet program requirements across Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to align schedules via MRP.
  • Monitor performance metrics and address program and functional issues.
  • Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
  • Generate and process Supplier New Add / Re-Activation requests; drive PR and PO management.
  • Engage in supplier reviews to ensure performance; travel up to 20%.
  • Travel up to 20%.

Raytheon is looking for an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) to join the Tomahawk team for Recert supporting a large, high visibility, fast-paced development program. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of developing and achieving program material delivery and financial performance objectives in a matrixed environment and successfully interface with functional and program leadership.

In this highly visible role, you’ll be the liaison between Supply Chain and Program teams. You’ll create and execute the Program Material Strategy to ensure the flawless execution from the front end of the business through contract closure.

The MPM is the single point of contact interfacing with the Program Office and internal customers, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Contracts.The MPM oversees all Supply Chain Management activities needed to meet program requirements and ensures a strong link between various Supply Chain functions including Purchasing/Sub-Contracts, Logistics and Production Control.

What You Will Do:
  • Develop and execute Material Program Plans and Supplier Management Plans
  • Plan and execute sourcing decisions and support the Make/Buy/Where process
  • Identify Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and obtaining any required Terms Attachments (T-Attachments) and/or Modifications (TCMs)
  • Assist with the generation of Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs)
  • Oversee all SCM activities needed to meet program requirements, and ensuring a link within and between various Supply Chain functions, including Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Monitor performance metrics and address program and functional issues
  • Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
  • Generate and process Supplier New Add / Re-Activation requestsDrive Purchase Requisition generation & Purchase Order placement/management
  • Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
Qualifications You Must Have:

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience in Material Forecasting, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Material Estimate at Complete (EAC), and/or Earned Value (EV)
  • Experience managing cost and schedule for complex, high value programs
  • Understanding of the RMD Manufacturing Transition to Production Tool Sets
  • Previous leadership position in a fast paced technical or manufacturing environment that included multiple working organizations; this would include extensive experience building cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Proposals/Estimating and/or Basis of Estimates (BOEs)

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
