Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or holding a 4-year degree.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Spanish reading/writing/speaking highly desired.
• Availability in early April through end of August.
• Able to work weekends, overtime, and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing plans, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal standards.
• Optimize customer service by actively managing the carrier base.
• Ensure quality control in shipping/receiving.
• Help manage carrier performance and reporting to improve service and delivery.
• Assist in reducing freight costs and budgets.
• Ensure safe, high quality production and shipping of strawberries.
• Ensure containers are clean and labeled; conduct vehicle inspections.
• Handle paperwork accuracy with handheld scanners and Bills of Ladings.
• Coordinate shipping/receiving with floor, QA, and forklift crews.
• Support railcar schedule development and reorder points.
