Position: Supply Chain Inventory Specialist

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Position Overview

The Supply Chain Inventory Specialist manages inventory supporting the Alkali business at external transload locations, warehouses, and packagers. The role involves developing skills in inventory management, railcar tracking, relationship management, customer service, and cost control, assisting in multi-modal distribution and inventory strategies. The candidate should be disciplined, analytical, and a team player focused on customer service and supply chain logistics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management: Truck tendering, railcar shipments, tracking, reconciliation, SAP data entry, and shipment planning.
2. Customer and Service Provider Interaction: Processing customer requirements, generating shipping documents, maintaining records, and invoicing.
3. General: Adhering to policies, safety, providing coverage, and growth potential.

Skills and Educational Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain, inventory, or customer service.
• Experience with railcar fleet management preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Analytical skills and proficiency in computer systems preferred.

Final pay grade will be determined holistically by HR and leadership, considering education, experience, performance, and leadership qualities.
