Job description

Schneider Electric has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Intern at our Mechanicsburg, PA facility for the Spring 2027 semester. This is a part-time, onsite position designed for students looking to gain hands‑on experience in supply chain operations, process improvement, data analysis, and manufacturing while completing their studies. If you're passionate about solving problems, analyzing data, improving processes, and working directly with operations teams, we'd love to hear from you!

What will you do?
  • Conduct time studies and data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Work directly on the manufacturing floor to support process improvement initiatives, 5S activities, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve workflows, standard processes, and overall productivity.
  • Develop reports, presentations, and performance metrics to communicate findings and provide visibility into improvement opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement projects by collecting and analyzing data, documenting processes, and providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Participate in projects focused on improving efficiency, organization, and overall operational performance.
What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate findings, ideas, and recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD $23 to $27.50 per hour. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
