Job description

The Warehouse Process Engineer drives operational excellence by measuring, analyzing, and optimizing end-to-end warehousing performance. This role balances cost efficiency with service quality, combining strong analytical oversight with deep, hands-on experience in physical warehouse architecture, material flow design, and system utilization to optimize plant logistics.

What will you do?
  • Infrastructure & Layout Design: Lead the physical architecture design of manufacturing plant warehouses and distribution centers, including optimized layout configurations, racking selection, and high-density storage systems.
  • Material Flow Optimization: Design and implement highly efficient operational workflows for inbound and outbound activities, including put-away, picking, kitting, and staging processes.
  • Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement:
    • Continuously track and evaluate critical logistics KPIs (operational costs, service levels, throughput, healthy stock and space utilization) and implement rapid corrective actions for performance gaps.
    • Implement and monitor robust warehouse performance KPIs to consistently fuel and maintain a pipeline of continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Deploy Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste, maximize storage density, and minimize material handling cycle times.
  • Project Management: Lead capital and operational projects from initial concept through engineering design to execution, ensuring seamless integration with existing manufacturing operations.
Who will you report to?

Engineering & Maintenance Manager

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • 1+ years of Hands-on Experience:
    • Proven track record in logistics (Distribution Centers or Plants Warehouse) or industrial engineering with direct, practical experience designing warehouse layouts, racking configurations, and complex material flow architectures.
    • Designing WH Performance KPIs and prior exposure to PMTS (MOST/ MTM), Time Studies and Labor Management System related to WH processes
  • SAP Proficiency: Previous experience with SAP (specifically WM or EWM modules) is highly valued and considered a key differentiator for managing inventory processes and material master data.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced capability in layout/CAD software, data analysis, and warehouse capacity modeling.
  • Methodologies: Deep understanding of continuous improvement frameworks, kitting strategies (e.g., just-in-sequence, line-side delivery), and slotting optimization.
