Job summary

Swift Solar is hiring a Supply Chain Engineer in California to shape the company’s materials sourcing from R&D to high-volume manufacturing. You’ll define material specs, qualify suppliers, and ensure on-time deliveries as we move toward production scale.

You’ll interact with R&D, engineering, and product teams to craft procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and implement robust QA/QC processes. This role combines technical rigor with impactful, climate-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of engineering experience in supply chain or a related field.
• Degree in Engineering or Science required; materials, chemical, mechanical, electrical, or physics backgrounds preferred.
• Experience managing supplier relationships end-to-end and performance monitoring.
• Ability to document specifications for chemicals and materials.
• Understanding QA/QC methods and material characterization.
• Comfort with the commercial side of sourcing (pricing, agreements, demand planning).

Responsibilities

• Define material specifications with R&D for new builds.
• Verify incoming quality in the lab and support sourcing for production.
• Manage ERP-driven supply chain activities and supplier evaluations.
• Lead supplier selections, second sources, LOIs, and supplier audits.
• Collaborate across R&D, Engineering, Product and Operations to scale production.
