Base pay range

$125,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

About the Role:

The Director of Supply Chain & Operational Planning will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations across Canopy-USA. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in cannabis production, capable of optimizing supply chain processes, forecasting, inventory management, and operational planning to support the company's growth and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the VP of Supply Chain, this leader will collaborate across departments to ensure seamless, compliant, and efficient supply chain execution.

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and compliance within the cannabis industry.
  • Lead and oversee demand forecasting, production planning, inventory management, procurement, and logistics to ensure optimal stock levels and delivery timelines.
  • Facilitate communication between wholesale and retail departments to accurately understand production demand requirements.
  • Coordinate with Senior Production Managers to establish monthly production goals and provide weekly progress updates.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Reassess forecasts against actuals and communicate findings to relevant leadership to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure appropriate par levels for all raw materials across the network and confirm sufficient inventory for each month's production plan.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate effectively about new product launches, ensuring alignment with supply chain capabilities and market demand
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to optimize costs and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing cannabis production and distribution.
  • Lead cross-functional teams effectively.

Skills to be Successful (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with a minimum of five years’ experience focused in Operational Excellence, Lean Practice and/or Problem Solving
  • Five years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities)
  • Cannabis industry experience is required
  • Certification is desired in ASQ, Lean Six Sigma, Black Belt

Manufacturing environment that requires extended time standing, walking, bending and reaching. Ability to carry up to 50lbs for up to a distance of 100ft may be required. Occasional extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects. Ability to work in a humid and pollinated environment.
