Job summary

Astrix Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to support a global biopharmaceutical manufacturing operation by processing, picking, dispensing, staging, and delivering materials required for manufacturing activities.

Located in Simi Valley, CA, this contract position offers pay of $25-30/hour with opportunities to contribute to regulatory support, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration across warehousing and distribution teams.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred; High school diploma required.
  • GMP/GDP experience in shipping, dispensing, warehousing, manufacturing, and/or quality.
  • Experience supporting documentation revisions in electronic document management systems.
  • Knowledge of DQMS and QMTS, including deviation investigations and CAPAs.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and operate material handling equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Follow SOPs and procedures with strict cGMP adherence.
  • Support material processing for manufacturing facilities, including picking and dispensing.
  • Perform warehousing tasks and operate PIVs; PIV training provided onsite.
  • Gown to Grade 8-9 and work in classified dispensary areas.
  • Identify risks related to dispensing, warehousing, or manufacturing support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete warehousing and dispensing tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement, safety programs, and operational excellence projects.
  • Provide support during regulatory inspections and assist auditors.
  • Identify issues and communicate solutions to area management.
  • Maintain the Kanban system for consumables.
  • Support external warehouse operations and related tasks.
  • Collaborate with Global Distribution to meet evolving business needs.
  • Complete all transactions promptly and in compliance with procedures.

Job description

Our client is a seeking a Supply Chain Associate to support a global biopharmaceutical manufacturing operation by processing, picking, dispensing, staging, and delivering materials required for manufacturing activities.The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication skills, flexibility, and a willingness to learn.

Located in Simi Valley, CA

Contract position
Pay: $25-30/hour

Responsibilities
  • Follow SOPs and departmental procedures with strict adherence to cGMP requirements.
  • Support the processing of materials for manufacturing facilities, including picking, dispensing, and staging activities.
  • Perform material handling in a warehouse environment, including the safe operation of Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) as required. PIV training will be provided onsite.
  • Gown to Grade 8-9 and work in classified dispensary areas.
  • Identify, escalation, and support resolution of potential risks related to dispensing, warehouse, or manufacturing support activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete operational activities associated with warehousing and dispensing.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, work center team activities, safety programs, and internal operational excellence projects.
  • Provide support during regulatory inspections and be prepared to present information to auditors as required.
  • Identify operational issues, roadblocks, and process improvement opportunities and communicate effective solutions to area management.
  • Maintain the Kanban system for consumables.
  • Support external warehouse operations and related tasks.
  • Collaborate with Global Distribution teams to meet evolving business needs.
  • Complete all transactions promptly, accurately, and in compliance with applicable procedures.
Qualifications & Expectations
  • College degree preferred; High school diploma required
  • Availability to work various shifts as needed, including day, swing, weekend, and holiday schedules, based on production requirements.
  • GMP/GDP experience in shipping, dispensing, warehousing, manufacturing, and/or quality.
  • Experience supporting documentation revisions in electronic document management systems.
  • Knowledge of Digital Quality Management Systems (DQMS) and Quality Management Tracking Systems (QMTS), including support for deviation investigations and ownership of minor deviations and CAPAs.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and push/pull heavy loads using material handling equipment.
  • Ability to support warehouse functions related to shipment, dispensing, and material movement in accordance with procedural guidance.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Teams.
