Job summary

AES seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead the SQA functions across facilities, overseeing incoming inspection, issue containment, and supplier actions. Qualifications

• Experience with GD&T and inspection of critical features.
• Experience with FAI and PPAP.
• Experience with 8D, RCCA, 7 Step, CAR processes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS.
• Background in supplier quality and manufacturing processes.
• Lean/ Six Sigma or Kaizen exposure to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure suppliers meet contractual requirements and comply with product specifications.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Receiving, Material Control, and QA Receiving to evaluate and disposition incoming goods.
• Oversee 100% Blanket and Belted inspection conducted by a Quality representative.
• Communicate acceptance results with relevant departments.
• Support containment, segregation, NCM review, and trend analysis for supplied parts.
• Manage external supplier corrective and preventative actions and verify effectiveness.
• Assist in responding to Customer supplier corrective actions, including Failure Analysis and Root Cause analysis.
• Evaluate, qualify, and approve new suppliers/vendors.
• Create development plans for suppliers to meet AES goals.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve overall product quality and quality systems.
• Provide training on AES quality requirements and process improvement tools.
• Develop and maintain supplier metrics and scorecards.
• Perform other duties as required.
