Job summary

NRG Energy seeks a Supplier Quality professional to support sustaining engineering in our supply chain for in-production products and transitional support for new products.

You will partner with the RQA, manage NPI supplier qualification, drive 8D actions, audit suppliers, and lead supplier reviews to ensure quality and readiness for production.

Travel domestically and internationally, requires a BS in engineering and 2+ years in high-volume electronics quality environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrated successes improving quality in high-volume electronic manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO) and ISO Auditor training/certification is preferred.
• Experience with test and measurement tools.
• Has a flexible approach to change and can work effectively in various situations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and disposition returned (RMA'd) field units to determine supplier attribution.
• Review return and defect rate data by SKU and supplier to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
• Define inspection criteria, sampling plans, and failure-coding standards for consistency.
• Coordinate flow of defective units and evidence to support 8D investigations and warranty recovery.
• Monitor RQA throughput and resolve bottlenecks delaying defect turnaround.
