Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure quality and reliability of electrical components from the supply base. You will lead supplier audits, implement quality requirements, and drive corrective actions using 8D and FMEA in a switchgear-focused environment.

The role emphasizes supplier development, APQP/PPAP, and risk management, with travel to supplier sites as needed and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in supplier quality or development engineering in electrical or mechanical components.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 13485.
• Proficient with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Quality Management: define supplier quality requirements, conduct audits to ISO 9001/AS9100, manage issues with 8D and FMEA.
• Supplier Development: implement supplier scorecards, Lean and Six Sigma, collaborate on CPQ/APQP.
• New Product Introduction: support supplier qualification using PPAP, review control plans and validation protocols.
• Risk Management & Compliance: identify supply chain risks, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain audit documentation.
