Job summary

ZF Chassis Components, LLC in Newton, NC is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support the Quality Management System for chassis component product lines, including PPAP, 8D reporting, and supplier containment. You will interface with plant personnel to resolve supplier issues, review specs, monitor corrective actions, and drive internal teams to improve supplier ppm.

A background in automotive manufacturing and IATF 16949 audit experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Lead Auditor experience for IATF 16949 required.
• Hands on AIAG PPAP submission knowledge.
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with plant personnel to resolve supplier issues and ensure requirements understood.
• Manage supplier quality projects and containment for suspect parts.
• Review engineering specifications and drawings to verify supplier conformance.
• Monitor suppliers' corrective actions and track ppm.
• Approve supplier PPAPs and report on 8D status.
• Lead internal teams to measure supplier ppm effectively.
