Job summary
Top Echelon LLC’s client seeks an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure plastic injection molded components meet customer, internal, and regulatory requirements. You will support production, engineering, and suppliers by applying automotive quality tools, driving corrective actions, and maintaining compliance with IATF 16949.
Responsibilities include leading SPC, PFMEA, APQP, and PPAP activities, audits, containment, and supplier quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing or related field or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of quality engineering in automotive manufacturing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding and quality tools (SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T; effective communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quality systems for assigned projects.
- Lead and/or participate in SPC implementation and discipline.
- Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
- Audit support and corrective action responses; PPAP documentation.
- Lead root cause analysis using 8D/5-Why; drive corrective actions.
