Job summary

Nesco Resource is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its New Jersey plant on a one-year on-site contract. The QE will support APQP, core tools, and quality systems, including PPAP, gauging, and customer interactions.

Required are a BS in Engineering and ~5 years of automotive quality experience with IATF16949 knowledge, GD&T, and strong problem-solving abilities. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, process control, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering.
• Professional experience ~5 years.
• Automotive experience.
• IATF16949 Knowledge.
• Manufacturing process experience.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications.
• Knowledge in GD&T.
• Organization skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results within strict time frames.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Core tools knowledge.
• Problem solving background (8D's Methodology).
• Effective communication with all levels of staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement process control plans, including Gage R&R studies.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, and making recommendations.
• Develop inspection and work instructions.
• Perform and analyze process capability studies.
• Prepare PPAP packages meeting customer requirements.
• Participate in APQP.
• Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPA) as planned.
• Manage customer and internal complaints and supplier issues.
