Job summary

RESRG Automotive, based in Troy, MI, seeks an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality from sourcing through production. You will oversee PPAP, audits, ECRs, SCARs, and certifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver robust quality and timely launches.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in supplier quality with PPAP/APQP, FMEA, and root-cause analysis. IATF 16949/ISO 9001/VDA knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required or equivalent experience.
5+ years of Supplier Quality/Automotive experience with PPAP/APQP and quality tools.
Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO9001, and VDA preferred; strong communication & problem solving.

Responsibilities

Participate in Technical Review meetings with suppliers and cross-functional teams before award.
Lead PPAP process with suppliers; ensure documentation and PSW approvals.
Manage supplier ECRs; track approvals and communicate changes.
Coordinate supplier audits (qualification, periodic, new tech, corrective actions).
Monitor SCARs; drive timely resolution with plant and supplier teams.
Lead quarterly supplier quality reviews with operations and stakeholders.
Maintain supplier certifications (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA).
Act as liaison between plant and suppliers; drive root-cause analysis and resolution.
Ensure timely comp liance with customer reporting requirements.
