Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer - Electrical to own the quality of electrical equipment for PowerFLX packages and turnkey power plants. You will manage supplier qualification through FAT and release for shipment with a hands-on, supplier-facing approach.

You will lead supplier quality reviews, manage NCR/SCAR processes, and coordinate with Engineering and Supply Chain across multiple US sites including Sedalia, Houston, and Greenville, with substantial travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology; equivalent technical training considered.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience; preferably in supplier quality, QA/QC for power generation or heavy industrial electrical equipment.
• 5+ years in supplier quality, source inspection, electrical testing, or QA/QC roles.
• Demonstrated FAT experience on switchgear, transformers, generators, or control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Fluent in English; willing to travel 50–75% and work across multiple US sites.

Responsibilities

• Own and chair standing supplier quality and progress reviews; adjust frequency by risk.
• Track supplier manufacturing progress against milestones and ship dates; escalate delays.
• Plan and conduct on-site supplier visits at key production stages.
• Maintain a risk-ranked supplier surveillance plan and increase review frequency as needed.
• Review, comment on, and approve ITPs, test procedures, and quality plans; approve FATs.
• Witness FATs and, when required, perform functional testing and verification.
• Lead NCR/SCAR processes; drive root-cause analysis and closure with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing; manage changes and continuous improvement.
