Major Tool & Machine in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer who serves as the focal point between MTM and suppliers. You will develop suppliers, support procurement, audit suppliers, and lead performance improvements across quality and delivery.

Responsibilities include RC/CA activities, driving continuous improvement, and training suppliers as needed. You will travel to supplier sites, partner with cross-functional teams, and report on supplier performance and QA activities.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with extensive experience in supplier quality and manufacturing.
• Minimum 10 years dealing with supplier quality issues in a high-mix environment.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards; leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor, track and report supplier performance internally and to suppliers.
• Define and react to problems concerning supplier quality and delivery.
• Lead RC/CA activities with suppliers.
• Lead continuous improvement activities with suppliers.
• Provide supplier training when necessary.
• Conduct supplier audits and issue reports detailing audit findings and observations.
• Follow-up on corrective and preventive actions to close findings.
• Build cross-functional relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Travel to suppliers for new product introductions, audits, or first article inspections (50%).
• Assist engineering in supply chain risk assessment and mitigation.
• Assist supply chain in consolidating existing suppliers and recommending suppliers for PO awards.
