Job summary

Columbus McKinnon in Menomonee Falls, WI is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier parts meet standards and drive quality improvements. You will evaluate and select suppliers, develop QA protocols, conduct audits, and resolve quality issues to support a reliable product.

The role requires collaboration with engineering, customers, and suppliers, leadership of MRB, and hands-on testing and documentation of results. APQP exposure and ASQ certification are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Engineer preferred.
• At least 1 year experience reading technical documents including prints (GD&T).
• At least 1 year quality experience in manufacturing.
• At least 1 year direct experience with customers or suppliers on quality issues.
• APQP experience with tools such as FMEA, Process Flow, PPAP, Control Plans, MSA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with engineering, customers, and suppliers on quality issues.
• Lead MRB and corrective action teams.
• Drive continuous improvement with suppliers.
• Design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms.
• Test and document results using appropriate equipment.
• Prepare and review quality documents and reports.
• Participate in audits and compile audit reports.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams professionally.
• Analyze quality data and report concerns via tracking systems.
• Ensure customer and regulatory requirements are met.
