Major Tool & Machine (MTM) in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to be the focal point between MTM and suppliers. The role includes supplier development, audits, source inspections and performance analysis.

You will lead RC/CA activities, drive continuous improvement, travel up to 50% for supplier interactions, and support engineering in risk assessment. Requires a Bachelor's in engineering with 10+ years and knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 10+ years in supply chain or manufacturing.
• Experience in high mix low volume manufacturing.
• Thorough knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards.
• ASQ quality certification preferred.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong problem solving / root cause analysis.
• Ability to work cross-functionally.
• Detail-oriented with good communication.

Aufgaben

• Monitor, track and report supplier performance internally and to suppliers.
• Define and react to problems concerning supplier quality and delivery.
• Lead RC/CA activities with suppliers.
• Lead continuous improvement activities with suppliers.
• Provide supplier training when necessary.
• Conduct supplier audits and issue reports detailing audit findings and observations.
• Follow-up on corrective and preventive actions related to supplier audit findings.
• Build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
• Travel to suppliers for new product introductions, audits, continuous improvement activities or first article inspection as needed (50%).
• Assist engineering in supply chain risk assessment and mitigation.
• Assist supply chain in the consolidation of existing suppliers and recommendation of suppliers for purchase order award.
